« on: September 21, 2015, 10:59:20 am »
Sorry for the short notice, Selkii did send me a reminder a bit ago, but it's the Equinox on Wednesday if anyone is interested

As its a daytime one I will try my best to take part.

Currently playing...umm nothing much.
TWD No-Man’s Land but getting  very bored with it very quickly.

Would still be playing We Rule and Supernauts - if the devs could be bothered.

Here's mine. I'm in Scotland for a few days with my brother staying in 'Old Smiddy Cottage' on the shore of Loch Katrine. This is it!

Looks like a lovely spot. Is that B&B or self catering?

Self catering. It is a lovely spot, very peaceful. 11 miles to the nearest shop. Have been eaten by Scottish midges!

Had this great idea - Autumnal Equinox at 1:22am, moonset at 1:30am. Setup tripod and waited. Miscalculated. Moon had set too far behind Olympics at 1:21am to make a decent shot.  :'(  HOWEVER, had backup plan in case of cloud cover...

Gatecon - is that a mushroom with some other fungus growing on top of it?

Spikeycat - So bucolic! (except for the midges) Did you take pics of the interior? Am Google World-ing Loch Katrine  :)

Always good to have a back up plan.

No it's an apple with the first signs of being eaten

Love both the mouldy apple and the still life. Great shots! Travelled back to my brother's home in Nottingham today. I believe he has some shots of the inside of the cottage, I'll check in the morning. It was beautifully furnished and very well equipped, with a lovely log burner and logs provided for the chilly Scottish evenings.

This was my other option for the Equinox pic, taken a couple of minutes early though.
But I preferred the idea of decay rather than growth for this time of year

Look forward to the pix of the cottage Spikey

My brain must also be on vacation. Missed the rotting apple symbolism - appropriate for the time of year. Love the composition and star flare you got on the second photo. Glad you shared that one, too. I miss seeing your photo posts.
