A new thread for a new year.

I know a few of us have said we are going to attempt a 365 this year, whether cat-based or otherwise, so here's the thread for discussion, moral support and ideas.

Of course if we have any questions, we need look no further than the reigning queen of 365, Selkii, who has experienced the full gamut of 365 emotions.

Good luck everyone!
Currently playing...umm nothing much.

Would still be playing We Rule and Supernauts - if the devs could be bothered.

Umm, well, don't really have a clue of the best way to go about this but I've downloaded Photo 365 and taken a photo of the cat. It's a start...

No...reigning masochist is more like it...a case of it hurt so much, it felt good to have persevered. And, I got so much out of it.

Read this just this morning, although the article is a year old (popped up in my news-pusher, Zite). I, personally, could identify with much of it.

A Year of Photographic Lessons - Journey of a Novice Photographer

I'm sticking with 365project.org and uploading to Flickr. If I do get Photo365, I think it will have to be a separate 365 project, totally iDevice based.

Perhaps I am being dense, but...I installed Photo365 to see how it works. I don't see any way that we share our 365s except on third party sites, ex. Flickr. The way it works on 365Project.org is that we have open access to other members we choose to follow without having to go to another site.

So, my question is, how do I see posts from Cody or Gatecon or Spikeycat or...?

Yeah. I'm confused. I'm not too clever at this sort of stuff. I want something where you guys can see my photos.

It's not a photo sharing site. It's a simple app to keep track of your Project-365. You can share to flickr or fb, etc...from within the app, which uploads the photo for you.

Since all my photo related activities originate from iPad, the app is very useful for me to use, as I don't have to perform multiple separate uploads manually.

I have a Set set up on Flickr, if you want to follow my daily uploads. I will also post here occasionally.

 :)

Interesting point though.

Zombe I just linked my Photo365 to my Flickr. Am I right in thinking you can only get it to upload the month at a view image rather than each individual image?

If so I will start uploading each image.
That said I can't remember what my account details are for the Flickr I started last year. The only one I can log into is an empty album heheh

You can just as easily log into

http://365project.org

and upload photos straight from iPad or iPhone. In fact, I find it easier to use than Photo365 with a far better interface. There is just enough social interaction and sharing to make me happy. The only difference is using Safari instead of an app. As for multiple posts per day, I just upload the the 365 image plus the extras to an album on Flickr.

If any of this had been difficult, I would never have stuck to it.

I'm going to try running both programmes for the next two weeks and see which suits me best.

Selkii my Ace membership expires shortly on 365project - do you think it is worth the $20?

Short answer - not worth it.

Long answer - I never signed up for it and have never missed it. I don't want more than one "album." It was hard enough keeping that up. Some people maintain multiples (like one for each of their dogs - huh? Or, to participate in "challenges"). I don't need that. The only thing I would have liked is an ability to send a PM, only available with paid subscription. I got around that by giving my email address in the comment when I knew the person was online, then deleting it within minutes. Now we communicate by email.

Gate, open the day containing the photos you wanna upload. You can upload as many as you want, not just the one that shows on the calendar/month view.  :)

When I first scrolled down, I just saw Goblin's face and for a moment thought she had really bulked up for the winter since the container is so close to her coloring. This is so cute!

lmao!!! If you only knew how close she is to that size! We just put her on a diet. Poor girl is huge. We don't want her to experience joint problems.
