Sense8
« on: October 01, 2014, 11:47:24 am »
Not found a proper trailer yet, but from the makers of The Matrix, a Netflix scifi series about eight people around the globe who find themselves telepathically connected.

Trailer...

Currently playing...umm nothing much.
TWD No-Man’s Land but getting  very bored with it very quickly.

Would still be playing We Rule and Supernauts - if the devs could be bothered.

Anyone else watching this on Netflix? Intriguing plot and liking the gradual build up of the connection between the 8. Three episodes in, plus the global locations give it an interesting angle.

I only heard about it yesterday.  I thought it looked interesting.  I plan on starting the series soon

I'm watching and enjoying it.  I hope it comes together soon though!

Watched the first episode.  Not impressed.  Can't decide if I'll continue with it, but probably not.  Disappointing, as the trailer for it looked quite good.
Currently playing Happy Street, The Tribez & Castlez, The Tribez.

I can understand that opinion too Grapey. It's not exactly fast moving in terms of plot development. Though it does feel now at episode 9 that the threads are starting to come together in time for the big finale. I hope!!

I just like it because it is totally different to anything else out there and the genuine filming locations around the world make a very pleasant change for a TV show. Yes, that's actually London instead of some Hollywood backlot last used for an episode of Murder She Wrote "welcome to hOld Blighty Miss Fletcher. I say do come in out of that thick London fog hand have a nice cup of tea hand a cucumber sandwich"

The logistics of the show also intrigue me - having to film the same scenes weeks or months apart in different parts of the world.

IGN have a decent non-spoiler review of the show that sums it up pretty well

I have to agree with the IGN article.  I fast-forwarded most of the episodes and skippped from ep 7 to 12.  Maybe the second season will be better.  Great premise, too drawn though.  Since this is netflix, they can get away with certain things.  Not going to elaborate!

Noticed that season 2 is dropping in May.  I loved the premise and wanted to like the series.  Here is to hoping the story a little faster and catches folks attention for longer.

Did you see the 2 hour season bridge episode at Christmas?

Thread necromancy detected ...

It seems that the finale of sense8 dropped on Netflix over the weekend.  I hadn't gone back and watched season 2 but I hear the finale does give you a nice bow on top of the box as an ending.
