Calling all ELMs

E L M s

What is an ELM?
ELM is an EVENT LIST MASTER. The ELMs are a group of volunteer Mojo-Farm forum members who monitor the Events List forum thread; take your List needs requests, update request information, make sure the list does not get out of order – i.e. duplicate entry, accidental deletions and answer questions as they arise (which may not be covered here in the FAQs).

Who are the ELMs (Event List Masters)?
Event List Masters are forum players just like you who volunteer to help manage The List of We Rule players event needs to help everyone share efficiently and effectively. We hope to help many players to complete event as possible.

I am interested in helping out as an ELM, where do I sign up?
Moderating and updating the share list can be stressful at times and holds no benefits for the ELM, other than the satisfaction of helping others. If you feel that you have the dedication and patience required, and time to spare on a regular basis during events and you are still interested in becoming an ELM, please contact an ELM via PM for further information.

Probably more a question for the Administrator and/or mods, but can the ELM account create a thread that it can edit, but lock for replies? We couldn't in the old forum. I'm thinking of course of the offical share list thread.

Also what's the posting interval? In the old forum, the ELM often got the "your post is too soon after your previous post" error :(

I doubt that's possible without upgrading the ELMs to moderators, but we can find out.  Either way, with Doug becoming a mod, there's five of us who will be here regularly.   It shouldn't be a problem to get our attention if you need something done quickly.  We're always willing to help you guys out.   :)

As for the posting intervals, I'm not sure.  We were posting pretty rapidly when copying stuff over, and I never ran into a message like that.  Hopefully, it won't be a problem.

By the way, the password for the ELM is the same on this site.  I set it up to make sure no one hijacked the name.

The posting interval will not be a problem.  Like Ninenines said, we posted a ton of stuff rapidly in a row and we did not run into any issues.

Good thinking Batman!

Can the mods/administrator change the casing so that it's got a capital 'L' and 'M' i.e. "EventListMaster"?
Not a biggie if you can't, but it looks so much better spelt that way...
