Love seeing the snow. The play-in-the snow part of me misses it; the muscle memory of shoveling it doesn't. Even where we live when in Canada doesn't get much snow.

Ooh, if we are sharing snow pics, I have a few form our most recent storms. I linked with thumbnails instead of the actual images.

For perspective on the snow (my 3 yr old):

The brook that parallels our street:

A walk in the woods with my dog (he was taking a break and sniffing the air after a mad dash plowing through the snow):

Snow laden branches:

I liked the contrast of Autumnal colors against the stark black and white of winter:

Took these last night walking by the park. It reminded me of my anatomy classes in college when we would discuss the brain with all its neurons.

Spooky...and great. Especially with the streaks of snow coming down as well
Currently playing...umm nothing much.
TWD No-Man’s Land but getting  very bored with it very quickly.

Would still be playing We Rule and Supernauts - if the devs could be bothered.

At 7 this morning, the trees were epic.  It has warmed up since then and the snow is falling from the branches.  But her is the photo I took after hubby took the girls to day care.

I love the "snow" trees!   You must have gotten some wet, heavy snow to coat the trees like that.

Ninja - those trees are surreal! You are right about them looking like neurons.

EM - Love the blue cast. Can actually hear the silence of a morning after snowfall.

These are all wonderfully awesome winter pictures. It almost makes me wish it'd snow here, except that I'm a wimp and anything below 60 I consider not so great, so I'm satisfied to admire all of your artistic pictures from afar.

Hehe I was thinking the exact same thing earlier Jan - it makes me want to have heavy snow here...until I remembered how badly this country deals with snow.

I've always thought that it should get about 6-12 inches of snow on Christmas Eve and that's it for the year. Just enough to look nice and Christmasy the next day, to last until the new year, to sled and build snowmen with and then it's gone until next year!
