I keep experiencing this "error" whenever I click on a thread, like reading the next page of a certain thread.
The page will become "without format", not sure if you get what I mean.
Is this because of my own settings?

And the time taken for each page to load is donkey years lol...
I did not have this problem previously with the old forum.
Any help given would be much appreciated!
Thank you all for sharing! :D

Are people still getting the timed out error, and if so, how often?

Yes, every time I post, I think.

Edit: except for right now on this post!

I've had it a few times just now during testing.

Strangely, I haven't had the timeout error even once today.

This time I'm on Firefox 3.6, Windows XP, on a different network than I use over the weekend.

I'll report again tonight when I try posting from home again.

I haven't had this problem at all. I'm on Windows 7 and FF7.

Have posted several times from home now, all error free. :)

(Well, I had a few typos, but I don't think I can blame that on the forum software.  ;))

Not sure if this is a bug, per se, but...I noticed that when I first moved over the new forum, post timestamps automatically showed in my local Pacific time. I assumed that was an automatic feature based on IP address.

Anyway, after Daylight Saving Time ended last Sunday morning, the timestamps are now 1 hour ahead of my local time. In other words, the timestamps are still in Daylight Saving Time...can that be fixed?

I know there's a way to set a time correction in the account settings, but I often view the forum without logging in, in which case that correction isn't applied. Thanks

It might be our server is in Arizona, which doesn't observe DST. That means during DST, it would show the same time as California, but at other times it will be an hour before California.

I am also in California, so I just went and re-autodetected my time zone in the forum settings, and it switched it from 0 to -1. That tells me that the server's default (0) is Arizona time, and I'm assuming that's what anyone who isn't logged in will see.

So, if I'm right, it was just a coincidence before that you were seeing the correct time when you weren't logged in. Now, if you want to see proper California time, you'll have to log in and have your time-display setting set to -1.

The server is indeed in Arizona.
