As are the number of episodes!

😭

On the bright side, they're doing it so they can have more budget/episode. Which means, more direwolves, dragons and WhiteWalkers! Should be a great finish. Too bad we have to wait10 months...😱💥🔫

Just think yourself lucky you're not waiting for Mr Martin to finish the series for you 💤💤💤
Currently playing...umm nothing much.
TWD No-Man’s Land but getting  very bored with it very quickly.

Would still be playing We Rule and Supernauts - if the devs could be bothered.

Yeah talk about unoriginal. There must be some copyright law against him doing that. Plagiarism isn't it? He needs to go write his own stuff ;)

So it looks like Season 7 will be reduced to 7 episodes (with a couple of them longer than normal) and the final season will be just 6 episodes.

To be fair, to the showrunners, they've always said 7 seasons to complete the series. So, to me, I see it as an extra 3 episodes  :P

Hmmm, I found the opening episode a little underwhelming.
The arrival at Dragonstone was nicely done with its ten minutes of no dialogue leading up to "Shall We Begin" in the last seconds, but I found the whole Arya "face-off" opening scene a bit tacky and whoever thought having Ed Sheeran guest star needs feeding to the dragons. Feed Ed to them at the same time. Definitely a case of "I'm friends with Ed and he'd love to appear in the show"

Sheeran was brought on because Arya is a "super fan". These rich people with their rich friends making rich requests!  :P

With regards to the premiere, I loved it! Only 7 episodes so they're going to cram a lot of stuff in these episodes. I liked the "more dialogue, less action" approach. Reminds me of the first few seasons where the Intrigue played a bigger role. The truth is, we're at the end, and they're only going to be one, maybe two, major battles. Time will tell but I'm glad there's going to be some resolution before GRRM dies :o ;D .

Btw, I take it you found a source for your movies? I found a new site but I don't think you got my email. You good for viewing or need a site (same for anyone else)?

The bit about the North remembering was a good opening and expected.  I'm guessing we are getting set up for the waif to come back and get some vengeance against Arya for using their gifts for her own personally vendetta.

The worst part of the opener was the bit at the Maester's citadel.  Too many shots of chamber pots and soup going into very similar looking vessels.  Glad my dinner was not stew or anything chunky.

I did find the last line, "Shall we begin?" to be a very good way to close the episode.  Technically speaking, that would have been a good way to end the previous season.

Cool sea battle scenes.

Cersei 1 Daenerys 0

(Mind you the person who wins the first battle always ends up losing long term 😜)

Haha! Yup. Can't see Cersei winning the war. I don't see Daenerys enjoying the Iron Throne either. Not sure who'll end up sitting the throne but it won't matter. It looks like, with Jon meeting Daenerys, They're going to combine forces and one of them has to die fighting the WightWalkers. I say Daenerys. After all those years of waiting, she gets there, and doesn't even get to sit the throne, a là Stannis.

Well, the author likes to throw curves at times.  I'm holding out that Sansa ends up on the Iron Throne despite Jon Snow being "the one."  At this point, Jon is a more likely candidate than Daenerys though.  I wonder how news of him being her nephew will be taken.

I did like the bit about ignoring clever men being the secret to long life leads to a stunning loss a sea.  If the unsullied had been the ones heading to King's Landing, would they have been able to fight off the Iron Fleet?

I'm not sure anyone will ever learn of Jon's parentage. It'll be one of those things where he will learn but won't be able to tell anyone. I think Jon will, eventually, go back and be the Lord Commander at the Wall. I think that he'll realize that if people find out he's a Targ, it'll cause more problems than not. He'll do the "honourable" thing, like Ned would.  ;)
